CPR is delighted to announce the launch of our new Clinical Practice Guideline (CPG) Forum.
This is a platform for prehospital practitioners to provide feedback on current CPGs. CPR will then liaise with the Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) of the Pre-hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) in order to identify areas of improvement within the current guidelines and to guide future CPG development.
Evidence-based practise (EBP) refers to the use of current best evidence in making decisions about the care of individual patients. EBP integrates individual clinical expertise with the best available external clinical evidence from systematic research. Both of these aspects of EBP are equally important and the Centre for Prehospital Research is now collating information on the experience base and evidence base for the PHECC CPGs.
This new CPG Forum allows prehospital practitioners to share their individual clinical expertise in order to establish an experience base for the CPGs. Practitioners can provide feedback on current CPGs and make suggestions for new CPGs that may be required. Access to the CPG Forum is restricted to PHECC practitioners only and users are required to register for the forum using names as per PHECC registration details. The CPG Forum is moderated by CPR.
