Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Service Providers
‘Licensed CPG Provider’ is the term used to describe the operational service providers recognised by PHECC to implement Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs).
S.I. 109 of 2000 as amended by S.I. 575 of 2004, establishes PHECC as the agency with responsibility to develop standards related to pre-hospital emergency care in Ireland.
S.I. 575 of 2004 authorises PHECC to:
(o) make recommendations to the Minister on standard operational procedures and protocols for pre-hospital emergency care.
(r) recognise, in accordance with rules made by the Council, those pre-hospital emergency care service providers which undertake to implement the clinical practice guidelines.
