PHECC seek applications from suitably qualified and experienced Subject Matter Experts (SME), from a variety of backgrounds, who will form a panel of assessors who will conduct assessments of the Providers that are approved to implement the PHECC clinical practice guidelines.

Closing time for receipt of Expressions of Interest will be before 4pm (16:00 hrs) on Friday, 25th May 2018. Informal enquires to gvf@phecc.ie

Context

Within its statutory remit (Note 1) and in accordance with Council rules (Note 2) the PHECC recognise pre-hospital emergency care service providers which undertake to implement the PHECC clinical practice guidelines (CPG). Organisations who are recognised by PHECC to implement clinical practice guidelines are known as "Licensed CPG Providers" and are currently subject to an annual licence renewal cycle. There are currently 27 Licensed CPG Providers from the Statutory, Private, Voluntary and Auxiliary sectors (Note 3).

PHECC has developed the Governance Validation Framework (GVF) to further enhance patient safety, improve the quality of service provision and provide PHECC Council with the assurance that its licensed CPG providers are operating in-accordance with PHECC rules. GVF is a quality assurance mechanism designed to support the Licensed CPG Providers implementation of the National Standards for Safer Better Healthcare (Note 4) whilst delivering on one of the PHECC strategic objectives (Note 5).
